If you like books with humor and great characters that are quick reads, I would recommend the two George Brennan, Jr. books:

Bats, Brats, and Stats
Excellence: Sons of Xavier Forever

Hmm, well if you liked Twilight you might enjoy Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. It's in the YA section. It's extremely funny, and fairly romantic (but not nearly romantic as Twilight).
Perhaps try the Uglies/Specials/Pretties trilogy by Scott Westerfeld?
Or the Guardians of Time trilogy by Marianne Curley, also YA.
